Pollstar Magazine is a leading publication in the concert industry, and during the first quarter of the year, The Paramount ranked as the sixth highest in the world in the category of club Venues.
This ranking was based on ticket sales from January 1, 2017 until March 31, 2017. The venue continues its march to a hopeful Top 5 ranking, and the venue’s directors (Dominic Catoggio, Jim Condron, Brian Doyle and Stephen Ubertini) showcased their gratitude for everybody involved to make this ranking a reality. These individuals include Live Nation, their ticketing partner, Ticketmaster, their local media partners, staff and of course the concertgoers, which goes from Long Island or from far to see concerts of their favorite artists and bands.
Earlier this year alone, The Paramount hosted 10 sold-out shows with comedian Sebastian Maniscalco, two sold-out shows with magician Michael Carbonaro, three sold-out shows with Long Island comedians Jim Breuer and Andrew Dice Clay, as well as another sold-out show by Joe Jonas-fronted band, DNCE, and a St. Patrick’s Day rock show with Dropkick Murphys. Other well-received shows included comic Rob Schneider and the two Big Shot (Billy Joel tribute shows) in January and March respectively.
Ironically enough, Digital Journal ranked The Paramount as the “Best Concert Venue of Long Island in 2017.”
