On November 3, they will perform at the Cox Capitol Theatre in Macon, and on the following day, November 4, at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse.
At the Cox Capitol Theatre show, The Marshall Tucker Band will share the stage with Jaimoe (the drummer and founding member of the Allman Brothers Band), who will be playing there with his group, Jasssz Band. Singer-songwriter Randall Bramblett is also scheduled to perform in Macon.
The multi-platinum-selling band has a great deal of history in the state of Georgia, so these shows will be quite nostalgic for The Marshall Tucker Band, admitted its lead singer and sole original member Doug Gray.
They are known for such signature southern rock tunes as “Can’t You See,” “Heard It In a Love Song,” “Fire On the Mountain,” “Blue Ridge Mountain Sky” and “24 Hours at a Time.”
In the meantime, The Marshall Tucker Band will be making their return to the hallowed Grand Ole Opry on September 26.
