The Band Perry takes home first Grammy award win

It was in the “Best Country Duo/Group Performance” category for their version of Glen Campbell’s “Gentle On My Mind.” This was quite ironic, especially since they sang that classic tune on the Grammy stage three years ago, where they honored veteran country star Glenn Campbell.

Their song was featured in the documentary, Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me, as well as on its music soundtrack.

“Winning a Grammy Award is not only an honor but it’s completely life changing,” The Band Perry remarked in a press statement. They went on to express their gratitude to everybody that has helped them along the way, including their dedicated fans.

The trio of siblings is expected to perform as part of “Stevie Wonder: Songs In The Key of Life- An All-Star Grammy Salute,” where they will share the stage with Usher, Ariana Grande, John Legend, Ed Sheeran, and “Mother Monster” herself, Lady Gaga.
