The Aston Shuffle talk latest episode of Only 100s March Edition (Includes interview)

On their latest episode of ‘Only 100s’ March Edition, they said, “March has been a very good month for new dance releases. We had some huge club weapons from the likes of Offaiah, Icarus, Riton and a monstrous collab from Mark Knight, Rene Amesz and Green Velvet plus some nice lighter moments from Calvin Harris and Mura Masa.”

They are drawn to electronic dance music since there are so many different scenes and sounds. “When we first started it was all quite underground but in recent years dance music as a whole has crossed over into everyday culture and to have a small part in the explosion has been really eye-opening and quite a lot of fun,” they said.

Regarding their future plans, they said, “We’re finishing up some new music. More on that soon! We are about to announce some new tours, including a tour for Only 100s here in Australia and we just got announced to play at Tomorrowland this year. Safe to say its gonna be a big one for us.”

They listed such artists as Offaiah, KC Lights, Claptone and Kyle Watson as their dream collaboration choices.

Their music is inspired by a variety of sources. “It’s not necessarily something musical, it could be something that happens in everyday life, like love or loss. It could be a meal that you just had, it really could be anything,” they said.

For aspiring DJs and producers, they encouraged them to take the time to really hone and perfect their craft. “There are so many DJs and producers out there now so you really need to try and create something that is unique to what everyone else is doing. Don’t just jump on bandwagons because scenes and sounds come and go so quickly it might be best to try and create your own,” they said.

For their fans, they concluded, “We love you!”
