Country artists T.G. Sheppard and Kelly Lang chatted about their new duet single “Addicted to You.”

Country artists T.G. Sheppard and Kelly Lang chatted about their new duet single “Addicted to You.”

On the origin of the song “Addicted to You,” Sheppard said, “Kelly wrote this song for my album ‘Midnight in Memphis’ as a solo.”

“As we were putting together the songs within the album, she thought it might be fun to try that song as a duet,” he said.

“We hope the listeners can feel the love between us within the lyrics. Our kids tease us about being addicted to each other,” he added.

Regarding the lessons learned from this song, they said, “It taught us that we were destined to be together. We love when people describe us as attached at the hip Where you see one of us, you’ll see the other close by.”

When asked about their future plans, the country couple shared, “Our plans include doing more concerts together on the road promoting our duet cd along with starting a new podcast.” 

They concluded about “Addicted to You,” “People say that ‘Addicted To You’ is reminiscent of something Johnny and June might have recorded What an awesome and flattering comparison that is. Hopefully the fans will feel the same.”
