Actress Susie Abromeit chatted about starring in the new original film “Love In Bloom” on Great American Family.
She stars as Amelia opposite Julian Haig who plays Grayson, and it premiered on Great American Family on Saturday, August 27. Rogue Rubin directed “Love In Bloom” from an original screenplay by Samantha Benjamin.
On being a part of “Love In Bloom,” she said, “It was honestly such a fantastic cast and crew. We were constantly laughing the whole time and we just had the best time. It was such a bonding moment and we all had so much love for one another. I’ve made lifelong friends with this crew.”
Abromeit had great words about her luminous acting partner Julian Haig, who plays her lead male love interest, and director Rogue Rubin. “Julian was awesome to work with. Rogue and I were friends before filming it. She cast me in it and she built this character around me. She put her heart and soul into this project as did I. It shows the quality of what we built together. It is something truly beautiful. Rogue was constantly wearing a number of hats,” she said.
“It was really great and I am proud of what we built,” she added.
Synopsis of ‘Love In Bloom’
The synopsis is as follows: In “Love In Bloom,” Amelia (Susie Abromeit) has a perfect life: a successful floristry in Chicago and a boyfriend who is about to propose.
When her soon-to-be-married little sister and fiancé become marooned at a mountain retreat days before their wedding in Primrose River Australia, Amelia, and the best man, Grayson Tanner (Julian Haig), are tasked with stepping in to save the wedding.
Amelia finds new meaning in the town’s beautiful gardens, and love, when she least expects it.
On the title of the current chapter of her life, she said, “New Beginnings.” “I am going back to Australia and I am filming another movie with the same crew again, so I am excited to embark on another journey,” she said. “This film is about wine,” she foreshadowed with a sweet laugh.
“For me, it’s about new beginnings, more self-love, self-discovery, and independence,” she added.
On her definition of success, she said, “Success would be writing, producing, and acting with people that you love and inspire you. Having balance and a fulfilled life with love and laughter.”
“The rom-com is back,” she exclaimed about “Love In Bloom.” “The original rom-com of hilarious, feel-good entertainment. There is always a message and symbolism in there, and it is so relatable to everyone’s life that they become indelible in human consciousness. I am excited to be bringing back the rom-com to the world.”
