Emmy award-winning actor Steve Burton chatted about being a part of “Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem” on the streaming service Peacock.
He reprised his role as Harris Michaels, a role that he originated on the NBC soap opera “Days of Our Lives” back in 1988.
On being a part of “Beyond Salem” on Peacock, Burton said, “It was amazing. The cool thing about it was the fact that it’s streaming, and that’s awesome. You never get a beginning and an end with a story, so to speak. Sometimes, it can be a year on a soap opera to get a full arc, this was five days, and they packed so much into five days. You had a beginning and an end with some cliffhangers.”
“That’s why I did it. ‘Beyond Salem’ was awesome, enticing, and so much fun,” he added.
He noted that playing Harris Michaels involved a lot of wardrobe changes. “I had more wardrobe changes in ‘Beyond Salem’ than I ever did in my life,” he admitted. “Also, you don’t necessarily need to watch ‘Days of Our Lives’ to watch the whole ‘Beyond Salem: Chapter 2’. Check it out.”
Burton had great words about working with his luminous acting partners Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady) and Miranda Wilson (Megan Hathaway). “Kristian Alfonso was awesome. I had met her before and she had great eyes to connect with,” he said.
“Miranda is amazing too, we had so much fun working together,” he said.

Most recently, actors Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson participated in a fan event at the Giggle Room of the Governor’s Comedy Club in Levittown on Long Island, which was well-received.
