Steve Aoki revives LA Clubnight in celebration of birthday

Aoki has revived legendary LA clubnight “Dim Mak Tuesdays.” The event was held at Echoplex on the east side of Los Angeles, and it featured live performances by his label-mates and friends such as Zedd, Krewella, Borgore, as well as former Dim Mak Tuesdays resident DJs Them Jeans and Dan Oh. Finally, Aoki also perform himself who was joined by Uffie and Kid Ink during his DJ set.

Other high-profile attendees at Aoki’s celebration included 2 Chains, aple.de.ap (Black Eyed Peas), Tara Reid, Too $hort, Mickey Avalon, Ookay, Chelsea Tyler (Kaneholler), as well as The Ceremonies.

“Dim Mak Tuesdays” were held weekly at Dim Mak Studios, which was known as Cinespace, from 2003 until 2014, in Hollywood, California. This weekly tradition, which was founded by Aoki, was the “mecca” for nightlife in Los Angeles, where some of the greatest names in music did their first shows there including Diplo, Kid Kudi, and “Mother Monster” herself, Lady Gaga.
