Their song “All My Friends” reached No. 2 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs, and it was certified gold. The duo partnered with Malibu, as they launched 101 Days of #BecauseSummer. “It feels great. It’s nice and sunny, and we’re having drinks on the roof and just chilling,” James said. “You can expect to hear party vibes, great vibes. It’s going to be good and fun!”
On their future plans, Oliver said, “We have big, big fans. We are touring the whole summer and we’re in the studio loads. We’re getting a whole lot of music ready. and then were are playing around the world.”
The duo concurred that their music is inspired by “good weather, chill vibes, hanging out and Malibu.” They noted that they are self-motivated individuals. “I’m just a really motivated person, naturally,” James said.
Snakehips listed global music stars Madonna and Celine Dion as their dream female collaboration choices. “I can’t believe Celine Dion came from Eurovision,” Oliver said. “Some incredible people have come from there.”
“We stay connected with fans on social media. We meet a lot of people on tour. We like to make friends, we’re friendly fellas,” they said.
When asked if a difference exists between recording in the studio vs. performing live, they answered jokingly, “There’s a massive difference. When we’re in the studio, it’s like playing on the computer. When you are live, you have to stand up. The difference is sitting and standing.”
They are drawn to electronic music since they are not confined to any boundaries. In their spare time, they enjoy reading, poetry and playing tennis.
