Regarding his new song “Breathless, he said, “’Breathless’ is a song about feeling down but knowing that everything will be okay. I had a lot of fun working with Runn and Sky Adams last year in Los Angeles on this song.”
“I was feeling a bit out of my comfort zone that day and the lyrics that Runn wrote for the song definitely matched that sentiment. This year a lot of us are feeling down but I hope this song can inspire people to keep going even when it seems impossible,” Slow Magic remarked.
The song came from his first session in Los Angeles, California, back in 2019 with Runn and Sky Adams. He was excited and nervous about getting out of his comfort zone (bedroom studio) and working with new people. Runn had introduced the idea of feeling down yet still having a positive outlook.
Slow Magic is thrilled with the way the song “Breathless” turned out, especially since it is an anthem for knowing that one will be okay when things are not okay. It is a song that is very timely and relevant in the trying times that the world is going through during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a track about anxiety, and both he and Runn tackle the feeling of being caught in the middle of it.
