“Save the Wedding” is an impressive romance film by filmmaker Jake Helgren on Hallmark. Digital Journal has the scoop.
In this movie, a series of wedding-planning setbacks raises the bride’s doubts. That is when the maid of honor Meg (Kasey Landoll) and the best man Tyler (Travis Burns) put their old differences aside to help restore the couple’s faith in love with a walk down memory lane.
Meg, an ambitious wedding planner, is excited to be her best friend Ellie’s (Chloe Wick) maid of honor, and she is even more stoked that she gets to plan the wedding. Meg and Tyler have bumped heads over the years.
Ellie subsequently gets cold feet a few days before the wedding so Meg and Tyler join forces to recreate milestone datesfrom their romance to rekindle the reasons they fell in love in the first place. Who knows, at this rate, Meg and Tyler may or may not have found their own romance along the way.
The Verdict
Overall, Save the Wedding is a solid and lighthearted film by Jake Helgren. Travis Burns triumphs as Tyler and Meredith Thomas is fabulous as Debbie. It will put a smile on the faces of viewers. It garners four out of five stars.
