Pop artist Sarah Schroeder chatted about her new radio single ‘On the Wire” and being a part of the digital age.

This pop song is about navigating life’s betrayals and chaos while, still holding on to the passion to love again someday, even when feeling on the edge.

It’s a journey of self-discovery and resilience. “On the Wire” is a raw and electrifying pop anthem by Sarah Schroeder.

This visually-striking music video dives into the tension between who we are and who we’re becoming.

Concept of the single

On the concept of “On the Wire,” she remarked, “It was inspired by life experiences. I know they’re a lot of us that have been through trying times when you feel like barely holding on after being hurt or betrayed, but still having the courage and faith to believe in yourself and that you will love again someday.”

“I hope the song leaves listeners feeling understood and uplifted, knowing they can find the strength to love again despite the pain and the hurt that they have endured,” she noted.

Music and songwriting inspirations

Regarding her music and songwriting inspirations, she shared, “I have always had a creative side and grew up singing in church choir and dancing for anyone that would watch so it was always been in my blood.”

“My husband and I have been involved with the entertainment business since 2007 and after writing the song and recording ‘Look Too The Stars’ for the end credits of the movie ‘Not Alone.’ We loved it so much we decided to put more of our creative energy into music,” she elaborated.

Future plans

On her future plans, she remarked, “Well, first of all enjoy every minute because time and health are your most valuable assets.”

“I have a talent of working too much so sometimes I need to stop and smell the roses, but I like the thrill of it. I am planning on being in the recording studio over the next few months so stay tuned,” she elaborated.

The digital age

On being a recording artist in the digital age, she said, “I love it and I think there are so many more ways you can showcase your music with YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and all the digital platforms.”

“I feel lucky to have these platforms available to me,” she admitted.

Career-defining moments

On her career-defining moments, she said, “Having the opportunity to work with some of the greats including Christopher Plummer, Gena Rowlands, Jennifer Garner, and Cate Blanchett; Cate is such an amazing person and she is so down to earth.”

“There are many more people but these amazing talented people I felt we were like minded. It’s nice to be able to be yourself and know you are loved just for who you are,” she noted.

“Also, my dad was always a big influence in my whole life, career, and always said I could do anything I put my mind to. It was nice always having him in my corner,” she added.

Advice for young and emerging artists

For young and aspiring artists, she said, “Stay true to your vision and remember that persistence is key every no is just one step closer to the right yes, keep creating and believing in yourself and you’ll find your audience and your success.”

Success

On her definition of the word success, she said, “Success is about having the freedom to choose your own path and do what makes you truly happy. It’s about setting goals working hard and finding joy in the journey.”
