Sara Evans launches her own record label Born to Fly Records

Throughout her career in the country music scene, five of her radio singles have topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including “No Place That Far,” “Suds in the Bucket,” “A Real Fine Place to Star,” “Born to Fly” and her empowering “A Little Bit Stronger.”

Evans announced the formation of her own record label, Born to Fly Records, which was named after her chart-topping single and double-platinum-selling studio album. The music on her label will be distributed via SONY RED, and her forthcoming studio album is set for release this summer.

This CD will mark Evans‘ eighth studio effort, and it will be the follow-up to her critically-acclaimed Slow Me Down, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums charts.

Evans shared that she is excited to be launching this venture, and she loves the fact that it is called “Born to Fly,” especially since she wrote that song about her own life, as a result of coming to Nashville and pursuing her dreams. For Evans, it’s a dream come true to surround herself with her own team of people, and it is a liberating feeling for her to take complete control of her career and her own brand.
