Sammy Adams to perform at The Paramount in Huntington

Depo will be his special musical guest, serving as his opening act.

Adams is originally from Boston, Massachusetts. In 2010, his debut studio album had reached the top of the online hip-hop charts during the week of its release. He was a senior in college when he decided to add some attitude into Asher Roth’s hit single “I Love College.” His rebuttal song was “I Hate College,” which turned the rapper into a Youtube overnight sensation in 2009.

He was signed to RCA Records in 2012, and since then, he has been in the studio collaborated with such esteemed singer-songwriters as Pharrell Williams, Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic, Mike Posner, electronic dance music (EDM) superstar Afrojack, among many others, for his debut studio project.

Global music star Pharrell had furnished him with the best advice, when it comes to making an album. He reminded him to be in the moment with his songs, because if one tries to write a song to be a hit, two months from now the culture may change. It is all about staying true to himself as an artist and being original.
