Veteran actor Ronn Moss has a major reason to be proud. He is nominated for a 2021 Daytime Emmy Award for his acting work in the hit digital series “Studio City.” Moss chatted with Digital Journal’s Markos Papadatos about his Emmy nod.
He is nominated for “Outstanding Guest Performer in a Daytime Fiction Program” for “Studio City,” which was co-created by Sean Kanan and Jason Antognoli; moreover, the series is directed by Timothy Woodward Jr.
“I am surprised and honored to be nominated for ‘Studio City’,” Ronn Moss said. “It’s a great show and was fun to do those scenes with Sean Kanan. I love the humor,” he added.
Most impressive was the fact that Ronn Moss was nominated for playing himself. In this “Guest Performer” Emmy category, Moss is nominated alongside his “Studio City” co-star Anna Maria Horsford, who played Jolene Hernandez. “It’s not easy to play yourself, I put a lot of humor in it as an overblown version of myself,” he said.
“Studio City” is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video by clicking here. The show won the 2021 Daytime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Limited Series.”
