Review: William Michael Morgan amazing on new ‘Vinyl’ country album (Includes first-hand account)

His album opens with the upbeat country tune “People Like Me,” where his baritone vocals are reminiscent of Joe Nichols. It is followed by the title track song “Vinyl,” which is the song that Morgan claims as his personal favorite on the collection, and rightfully so.

He picks up the pace with “Missing,” and his breakthrough single “I Met a Girl” is the quintessential love ballad that Morgan nails. That song deserves to be a No. 1 country hit.

“Spend It All on You” has a soft and calming vibe, while “Beer Drinker” shows his ability to have a good time, as well as his diversity as a recording artist. It continues with “I Know Who He Is” and the witty “Cheap Cologne.”

Equally fun is the lively “Somethin’ to Drink About,” and the record closes with the ballad “Lonesomeville” and the liberating, mid-tempo tune “Back Seat Driver,” which is yet another highlight track for sure.

The Verdict

Overall, William Michael Morgan shines on his brand new studio album Vinyl. He manages to stay true to his country roots. His music is recommended for fans of such country singers as Alan Jackson, George Strait, Joe Nichols and Easton Corbin, among others. Expect big things from this country sensation in the future. It garners an A rating.
