Review: Walk Off the Earth sensational on new album ‘Sing It All Away’ (Includes first-hand account)

Their album opens with their single “Rule the World,” which garnered a positive review from Digital Journal. It is followed by the upbeat “I’ll Be Waiting,” while “Home We’ll Go” is more subtle and mellow.

They continue with the optimistic “Hold On (The Break)” and “Boomerang” has strong melodies and hooks, as well as an infectious chorus. The title track cut “Sing It All Away” is a triumph, with noteworthy backing vocals. “Climb Out Your Window,” which has elements of reggae, has the potential to become another radio single for the group.

“California Trees” is mid-tempo and fun with neat whistling, and “Alright” is a breath of fresh air. “Heart Is a Weapon” is more rocking and up-tempo than the previous tunes, while they change the pace with the laid-back “We Got Love.” It closes with a remix of “Home We’ll Go (Take My Hand),” where they collaborate with world renowned DJ Steve Aoki.

The Verdict

Overall, Walk Off the Earth’s newest CD is a solid studio effort. It is a substantial indication that Columbia Records knows true talent. This album garners an A rating.
