Veteran actresses Veanne Cox, Jackie Hoffman, Carolyn McCormick, and Andrea Navedo star in the Off-Broadway show “My First Ex-Husband.”

Tony nominee Randal Myler directed this Off-Broadway play from a script by actress, comedian and TV host Joy Behar (“The View”).

“My First Ex-Husband” is being played at the MMAC Theater in New York City. This marks the third rotating cast of this production thus far.

While playwright Joy Behar was not able to make this show, her welcoming remarks were displayed through a video message, where she shared that all of these stories were based on real-life situations from various women that she interviewed.

‘My First Ex-Husband’

Tony and Emmy-nominated actress Veanne Cox kicked off the show by playing June “The Widow,” where she was instantly able to lure the audience into this play.

“Law & Order” star Carolyn McCormick immediately broke into the fun and insatiable “Walla Walla Bang Bang” as Jessica.

Andrea Navedo was sassy and feisty as Laila in “Where Are You At?” and Jackie Hoffman was tremendous in “Wigged Out.”

Equally noteworthy was McCormick as Monica in “The Touch.” Each time Carolyn McCormick was on stage, it felt like watching “As the World Turns” and “General Hospital” all over again, and she was our Maura West.

Jackie Hoffman’s execution and delivery of “Clothes Make the Man?” as Serena was excellent.

In “The Drummer’s Wife,” Navedo played the spitfire Karen, who showed her ex-husband drummer what she was made of!

A sublime Veanne Cox rounded out the Off-Broadway show as Gloria in “Get Off of Me,” which was sheer bliss.

Particularly impressive about all four of these women was that they had their scripts memorized (even though it was a reading).

The Verdict

Overall, Veanne Cox, Jackie Hoffman, Carolyn McCormick, and Andrea Navedo were terrific at the MMAC Theater in this third rotating cast of “My First Ex-Husband.”

Each woman brought something distinct to the table, and they made it their own. It was engaging, hilarious, and a great deal of fun.

Compliments to Randal Myler and Joy Behar for bringing this entertaining show to life.

This rotating cast of “My First Ex-Husband” garnered an A rating. Well done.
