Actors Tyler Hynes and Lauren Alaina are superb in the new Hallmark original film “Roadhouse Romance,” where they deliver charming performances. Digital Journal has the scoop.

The synopsis of the movie is as follows: Lieutenant Callie Jackson (Lauren Alaina) arrives home from her tour of duty and must come to terms with everything that’s changed while she was away, especially at her family’s iconic BBQ establishment, Tucker’s Roadhouse.

Callie is determined to continue her late grandfather’s legacy at the Roadhouse, which has always been a destination for great food and discovering new country music talent. Callie steps up to help her mother and aunt prepare for the fall festival at Tucker’s Roadhouse, which also means searching for her late grandfather’s special barbecue sauce recipe which was lost while she was away.

After a chance run-in with TV director Luke (Tyler Hynes), who is passing through town, he helps Callie determine what is worth hanging on to and when it’s time to let go.

Alaina and Hynes have such great, natural chemistry together, and it shows. Tyler Hynes triumphs as the voice of reason. Hopefully, this is a harbinger of more great acting roles for Lauren Alaina on the Hallmark Channel since she appears to be a natural fit.

Without giving too much away, “Roadhouse Romance” is an original Hallmark Channel that is worth more than just a passing glance.

The Verdict

Overall, Tyler Hynes and Lauren Alaina delight in “Roadhouse Romance” on the Hallmark Channel. Their acting is subtle and convincing. The movie is heartwarming, pleasant, and memorable.
