This Broadway production truly helps transport fans and audience back to the “Golden Age’ of magic. Thommy Ten and Amélie van Tass of The Clairvoyants were fantastic with their mind-reading prowess, and they proved that their runner-up win on America’s Got Talent was indeed based on talent and merit. The love that Thommy and Amélie for their craft is impeccable.
The amazing Conjuress, Jinger Leigh, is able to leave her audience breathless thanks to the assistance of her glowing sphere. Even more remarkable is when Leigh is cut in half. Mark Kalin was also able to deliver as the “Showman.” Escapologist Jonathan Goodwin returned from last year’s Broadway show with his daredevil acts, which were mediocre at best this year, however, they were still impressive to watch, and he deserves a round of applause for all his efforts.
The Verdict
Overall, “Turn of the Century” is recommended for the entire family, where children will enjoy it as well, and they take their audience back in a magical time machine. The Clairvoyants, Mark Kalin and Jinger Leigh stole the show. This production garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
