Review: Tove Lo charming on ‘Talking Body’ single and music video (Includes first-hand account)

Tove Lo co-wrote “Talking Body” with Ludvig Soderberg and Jakob Jerlstrom, and it was co-produced by The Struts and Shellback. It moves up to No. 3 on the Billboard Dance Club Play Songs charts, with the potential to become a No. 1 hit single. It is a track from her critically-acclaimed debut studio album, Queen of the Clouds.

“Love can be love, Anything you want I’ll give it up, Lips, lips are kiss, Bite me while I taste your fingertips,” Tove Lo sings.

Her song’s music video is beautiful, seductive and creative, where the Swedish songstress looks as stunning as ever. “Talking Body” is played regularly on the radio airwaves in New York, and rightfully so.

On June 13, Tove Lo will be performing at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York, as part of the 106.1 BLI Summer Jam.

The Verdict

“Talking Body” is an uplifting and fun vocal performance by Tove Lo. One of the biggest snubs in this year’s Grammy awards was the failure to nominate Tove Lo for “Best New Artist,” which she deserved for “Habits (Stay High).” “Talking Body” deserves an A rating.
