Review: TobyMac delights at The Theater at Madison Square Garden (Includes first-hand account)

His special musical guests included Hollyn, American Idol alum Colton Dixon and Britt Nicole, all of which were impressive.

TobyMac performed music from his latest studio effort, This Is Not A Test, which included the title track, as well as his energetic opener “Til The Day I Die.” Another noteworthy track included “Backseat Driver.”

His greatest vocal performance was his signature tune “Speak Life,” which was an upbeat and inspirational anthem, which captivated the entire venue. All the audience members were reciting the lyrics verbatim.

The highlight song from his latest studio album was the power-ballad “Undeniable,” which tugged at the heartstrings.

The Verdict

Overall, TobyMac was sensational at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York. He sang with a lot of heart, energy and passion. His stage presence was exceptional. His live show garnered an A rating.
