Episode three of The Testament of Sister New Devil, titled “Reunion and a Gap in Trust,” is currently streaming on Crunchyroll for all paid members. If you are a free member, you can watch this roughly six days from now.
The episode starts where the previous episode had left off, where Basara is reunited with his childhood friend Yuki.
Yuki bluntly warns Basara to stay away from Mio. It is revealed that Yuki is Jin’s contact with the new high school that Basara had transferred to. If you watch closely, you will notice Maria eavesdropping on the private conversation.
I laughed hard when Mio’s concern for Basara, turned jealousy towards Yuki, activated the master-servant curse forcing her to get aroused. That is perhaps the one thing from the previous episode that I could never even forget.
Maria’s perverted suggestion of Mio taking a bath with Basara to replay him was funny.
She really reminds me of Artemis from Maria The Virgin Witch, which currently streams in North America on FUNimation. When I think of it, the last episode of The Testament of Sister New Devil was just as sexed up as the recently streamed second episode of Maria The Virgin Witch.
I laughed more when the bath scene actually happened, which I thought was never going to happen let alone in this episode.
Maria’s justification made me laugh.
I had a WTF look on my face at the next scene, which got somewhat “sexed up” and still remained “PG.” This scene really made episode three feel like some almost borderline softcore porno flick, but not close enough to be classified as hentai.
There is no sexual intercourse and no actual private areas being shown, which makes it somewhat PG-friendly to North American audiences.
My brain was going “holy f—king s—t” when Maria decided to bring a slice of cake into the bath as it slipped off on Basara’s arm. I loved Maria’s sexual line of enjoying the cake even if it’s on Basara’s arm.
Let this be known that Maria is actually much older than her age. It is important to address that in case people forget. Maria is actually a very old adult who has taken on the form of a petite girl.
I personally thought that nothing could get funnier than episode two, but I was wrong. I didn’t expect Mio to be forced to “join the fun.”
The next scene made me go OMFG, but in a funny way. I laughed when Jin passed out only to wake up in his bed, but I don’t get why Maria had to join him in bed. Maria’s line after made me laugh, which leads me to believe that Basara had a perverted interest in female bottoms when he was younger.
I had to go d—n, d—n, d—n, dayum, at the scene after. I did not expect Basara to go all the way and sticking his hand underneath the underwear let alone like he did with Maria. This is a good thing that Maria’s actually an adult because Basara would be sent to prison if she wasn’t.
In the case of the US prison system, demons would be the least of Basara’s worries if you know what I mean.
At least the episode wasn’t entirely sexual as there was battle near the end. I thought Basara looked awesome when he took out the wolf demons.
I did not expect a fight scene between Yuki and Mio, which I thought would happen later. I’m not surprised that the two of them decided to throw down on the fact that they have feelings for Basara and they have conflicting personalities.
Beyond the sexual humor, episode three was interesting and the story took a surprise turn at the end. It reminds me of the latest episode to KanColle when you are born to a cruel fate. Mio’s case is no different because she is the heir to the kingdom of Hell, which makes her power sought out by many demons.
I personally thought the episode would be nothing but sexual humor. I was wrong.
At least the anime’s story is picking up as the first powerful demon has appeared out of nowhere and issues a challenge to Basara and the others.
I look forward to episode four even if it might get more sexed up than episode three.
