Review: The Swon Brothers spell-binding on ‘Pray For You’ single (Includes first-hand account)

“Pray For You” is the follow-up to their breakthrough single “Later On.” Its music video is dramatic, emotional and extremely moving. Zach and Colton Swon nail the vocals and they harmonize beautifully together, where the listener can recall country duo Dan + Shay. It was co-penned by such songwriters as Jessi Alexander, Tommy Lee James and Eric Paslay.

“Sometimes you need more than whiskey, Sometimes wisdom just won’t do, Well I ain’t gonna judge you, I’m just gonna love you, Tonight I’m gonna pray for you,” The Swon Brothers sing, in the catchy chorus.

The Verdict

“Pray For You” by The Swon Brothers is a lyrically and sonically powerful vocal performance. It deserves more airplay than it has gotten, especially since they are one of the most underrated vocalists and musicians in country music. It garners an A rating.
