The production, presented by Chase, was stellar, and the use of 3-D glasses gave the audience the opportunity to join Santa on a sleigh ride through some of the most remarkable landmarks of New York City, including Radio City. The all-star cast of actors, singers, dancers and orchestra members was top-notch.
With the help of modern technology, this show was very innovative, engaging and entertaining. The costumes were elaborate and the stage design was exquisite. The musical score was haunting, timeless and nostalgic, as it brought some of the most memorable Christmas carols to life. “The 2017 Christmas Spectacular” is highly recommended for the whole family, since there is something in it for everybody. Without giving too much content away, this is one show that everybody needs to experience live this year.
Edvin Ortega, the founder of the boy band cover group Larger Than Life, who was present in the audience, remarked, “The production was amazing! I had not seen this show in years, and it took me back and made me feel like a kid again; moreover, it got me excited for the holiday!
The Verdict
Overall, The Rockettes were superb at Radio City Music Hall. For the entire 90 minutes of the production, the Rockettes were able to lure the viewer in their magical world, that was comprised of Santa Clauses, North Pole, young children, gifts, an ice skating rink and a virtual 3-D tour of the “Big Apple,” all through a ride on Santa’s sleigh, among countless other scenes. The show was warm, authentic and captivating. “The 2017 Christmas Spectacular” earned five out of five stars.
