Their breakthrough single “The Outfield” is available on iTunes.
“The Outfield” has a retro and classic vibe to it, coupled by Martin Johnson’s powerhouse voice, which is smooth as silk. He is reminiscent of a young Phil Collins, which ought to be taken as a compliment. It deserves to be played on repeat. This is a song that garners an A rating.
Martin Johnson, the front-man of the rock band The Night Game, has garnered critical acclaimed for his showmanship from the media and his peers in the industry. They had a successful bi-coastal mini tour, which included sold-out shows in Los Angeles and “The Big Apple.”
They will be making stops in such cities as Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, and Detroit, among others. The band was personally invited by John Mayer himself to go out on tour with him, after he heard the song “The Outfield” on Spotify new music play-list, back in May, and the rest is history. After Mayer discovered the band, he tracked them down and asked them to go out on the road with him this summer.
Originally, Johnson hails from a small town outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Their debut single “The Outfield” was co-produced by the front-man and chief lyricist Martin Johnson, as well as Grammy-winning Aussie producer Francois Tetaz; moreover, it features backing vocals from Grammy winner Gotye.
On August 22, they will be performing live for their New Jersey fans at The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park.
