Their CD opens with “Long Hard Ride,” which was recorded in Manchester’s Palace Theater, and it instantly lures the listener in this project. “Take The Highway” is a work of art from a vocal and instrumental standpoint. “Hillbilly Band” is an added bonus, as is “Searching for a Rainbow,” which ironically enough is the name of their latest tour.

They pick up the pace with the upbeat “Fire On The Mountain” and Toy Caldwell nails “24 Hours a Time.” “This Ol’ Cowboy” is equally impressive, and the song that they use for opening their shows these days. It includes a version of their classic hit “Can’t You See” and it closes with a rendition of “Will The Circle Be Unbroken.”

The Verdict

Overall, Marshall Tucker Band delivers on their latest album, which was recorded live in the United Kingdom. It makes the listener feel as if they were there, experiencing their live show. Hopefully, there will be many more live albums from this group in the future, since their catalog of hit singles is quite lengthy. It garners an A rating.
