Dave Bautista and Sofia Boutella star in the new action comedy “The Killer’s Game,” which was released on Friday, September 13th.
J.J. Perry directed from a screenplay written by Rand Ravich and James Coyne; moreover, it is based on “The Killer’s Game” novel by Jay Bonansinga.
The synopsis is: When top hitman Joe Flood (Dave Bautista) is diagnosed with a terminal illness, he decides to take matters into his own hands – by taking a hit out on himself.
When the very hitmen he hired also target his ex-girlfriend Maize (Sofia Boutella), he must fend off an army of assassin colleagues and win back the love of his life before it is too late.
Dave Bautista is a strong male lead and he gives a commanding performance opposite Sofia Boutella as an effervescent Maize. This movie showcases many different sides of Bautista’s artistry. It has some elements of “Mission Impossible”
Pom Klementieff delivers a badass performance as the nefarious female assassin Marianna.
Scott Adkins and Drew McIntyre are both noteworthy as the Scottish hitman brothers Angus and Rory respectively.
Marko Zaror is superb as the flamenco dancing assassin in “The Killer’s Game,” especially since he had to learn new skills for this part and he nailed them.
