Review: The Chainsmokers divine on new single ‘Paris’ (Includes first-hand account)

Their lyric video, which was set on a beach in Mexico, was directed by Rory Kramer. “Paris” is the official follow-up single to their global smash hit “Closer,” which was one of the biggest singles of 2016. “Paris” was released on January 13, through the record labels Disruptor Records and Columbia Records. Singer-songwriter Emily Warren joins them on vocals on this tune.

“If we go down then we go down together, they’ll say you could do anything, they’ll say that I was clever,” Taggart and Warren sing on the chorus. It is safe to say that anything The Chainsmokers touch, turns to musical gold.

“Paris” is available on iTunes and on Amazon.

The Verdict

Overall, The Chainsmokers deliver on their brand new song “Paris,” and it is bound to become another major hit for band members Drew Taggart and Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers. It is a well-crafted and polished track from start to finish. Emily Warren charms on breathy vocals, and she compliments Taggart quite well. “Paris” garners an A rating.
