Review: The Bold and The Beautiful’s Don Diamont superb on new book (Includes first-hand account)

Daytime fans may also know him from his acting work on The Young and The Restless, where he played Brad Carlton. The book itself is 288 pages long, which could be read in one or two sittings, and it is easy to read thanks to its conversational format (which allows the reader to get in the conscience of the actor).

Diamont opens up about his own father (whom he lost), and what he learned from him, and the loss of two of his siblings. The best past is that it reassures the reader that Diamont is nothing like his vindictive and manipulative yet powerful character (Bill) that he plays on the CBS soap. He is modest, down to earth and a true family person. It shows the values that are important to him in life, including hard work, time and dedication. He really pours his heart into his writing, and it is evident that this book was a labor of love for the actor, as fatherhood was a major blessing in his life. Without giving too much away, this is one book that all daytime fans need to read for themselves.

My Seven Sons and How We Raised Each Other: (They Only Drive Me Crazy 30% of the Time) is available on Amazon.

The Verdict

Overall, Don Diamont’s new book is compelling, well-written, raw and honest. It conveys his wit and warmth, and it is recommended for anybody who is a parent, or a fan of The Bold and The Beautiful actor. There is something in it for everybody, and readers will get to know Diamont on a more personal and intimate level. They will not be disappointed with this book. It would make the ideal gift for Father’s Day coming up in a few weeks. My Seven Sons and How We Raised Each Other garners an A rating.
