Review: ‘The Best of The Laurie Berkner Band’ will blow you away (Includes first-hand account)

The CD opens with the catchy “Bumblebee (Buzz Buzz)” and it is followed by the soft and mellow “Rocketship Run,” as well as her signature tunes “Victor Vito” and “We Are the Dinosaurs.” She also gives children a fun spelling lesson with “Boots.”

Other highlight tracks include “The Goldfish,” “Open Your Heart,” and the soothing “Five Days Old,” as well as the vivacious “Monster Boogie,” which she recently made into a children’s book.

If that weren’t enough, this album includes alternate versions of “Pig On Her Head” and “Moon Moon Moon.” It is evident that Laurie Berkner’s songs are infectious and captivating, which will certainly become favorites for future generations of children.

The Best of The Laurie Berkner Band is available on Amazon.

The Verdict

Overall, this collection is a must for any fan of Laurie Berkner and her band, or children’s music. It is filled with 20 songs that are perfect for multiple occasions. With an eclectic tracklist as this one, it is difficult to select a personal favorite tune on this musical effort. Laurie Berkner gives it her all, and one will not be disappointed. The Best of The Laurie Berkner Band garners five out of five stars.
