Review: The Band Perry back with new single and video for ‘Live Forever’ (Includes first-hand account)

This upbeat track is the lead single from their forthcoming third studio album, which will be released on their record label, Republic Nashville. All three members of the band, which is comprised of siblings Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry, co-penned the tune, and veteran producers Dann Huff and RedOne (who has worked with Lady Gaga) served as its producers.

A country-pop song, “Live Forever,” has an optimistic, feel-good and liberating vibe to it, thanks to its youthful lyrics. Their song’s music video, directed by Colin Tilley, is vibrant and uplifting, and the trio seemed to have a great deal of fun filming it.

“You will be my only one, Hold my hand so we can run, You and I, we’re staying young, yeah, We’re gonna live, we’re gonna live forever,” the country trio sings.

The Verdict

The Band Perry manages to keep things fresh with their latest single “Live Forever.” It may showcase a different direction to their music, which is leaning more towards the pop genre, but they have done a good job with the process, since their single is good regardless. Kimberly delights on lead vocals and her brothers compliment her on harmonies. Their new song garners 4 out of 5 stars.
