Swift began her set with the uplifting and infectious “Welcome to New York,” as she wore sunglasses. She was met with a roaring applause from the entire stadium, and the crowd lit up the venue with their iPhone lights. The words “New York” graced the background in a giant televised screen.
It was followed by “New Romantics,” and she had back-up dancers accompany her on her smash hit “Blank Space,” as she interacted well with the audience.
Other noteworthy hits included “I Knew You Were Trouble,” the upbeat “How You Get The Girl,” “I Know Places” and the crystalline “All You Had to Do Was Stay.”
“I Wish You Would” featured red laser lights on the stage, and it was the quintessential sing-along, and it had a fun, dance vibe to it. “Now this is the part of the song where the person that you want to see more than anything in the world shows up, at the perfect time, just like you did tonight, Jersey,” she said.
She underwent an outfit change and performed “Can’t Feel My Face” with her special musical guest, The Weeknd, and it was a sassy duet.
Swift performed a delicate version of “You Are in Love,” accompanying herself on acoustic guitar, as she was raised into the crowd on a giant pulley. “That’s beautiful Jersey. Absolutely gorgeous,” she said, praising her fans for singing along. She continued with “Clean,” which is off her newest album, where gave inspiring remarks to her fans.
Equally beautiful was “Love Story,” which was one of the very few country-pop songs in her set. Her performance of “Style” was quite special especially since she brought out model Heidi Klum and The World Cup champion U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team to celebrate their sports victory.
“Bad Blood” was yet another highlight and certainly a fan-favorite, as they recited every lyric back to her, and she brought her music video to life. She was joined by actresses Lily Aldridge, Lena Dunham, Gigi Hadid and Hailee Steinfeld. “I got surprises just for you Jersey. How does that make you feel?” she inquired.
In a rocking version of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” she displayed her prowess on electric guitar, and it built up into a musical masterpiece.
“Wildest Dreams” was sheer vocal perfection. It was haunting yet beautiful, where the listener could easily recall The Civil Wars, and it began with a verse from her charming “Enchanted.” Swift closed her set with “Out of the Woods” and “Shake It Off,” her breakthrough pop smash hit and lead single.

Overall, Taylor Swift was delightful at her headlining show in New Jersey, proving that she is one gifted and charismatic performer. She commanded the stage for the duration of her show, which was appropriate for the entire family. It is no wonder that she is the biggest music star on the planet, and rightfully so. Her personality was bubble and infectious. She truly is the whole package and she has the grace and humility to go along with it. Swift is worth seeing live whenever she is in the area. Her show garnered 5 out of 5 stars.
