“SurrealEstate,” starring Tim Rozon and Sarah Levy of “Schitt’s Creek” fame, is a riveting series, which is available for streaming on both Syfy and Hulu.
In this series, real estate agent Luke Roman (played by Tim Rozon) and an elite team of specialists handle the cases that no one else can: haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away.
Sarah Levy stars as agent Susan Ireland, the newcomer of the real estate agency. Researching, investigating and “fixing” the things that go bump in the night, the team works to create closure, and closings, even as they struggle with demons of their own.
Compliments to creator George Olson for creating and developing such a distinct, eerie, yet intriguing series.
“SurrealEstate” is filled with multiple twists and turns that will keep the audience at the edge of their seats. It is rich in character development, and recommended for fans of horror, mystery, suspense, and the paranormal. It helps provide an escape from one’s daily worries and troubles, and it immerses viewers into their supernatural world.
Several of the storylines are clever and poignant, coupled with some stories on ghosts and demons. It lives up to its tagline that “these properties are to die for.” “Surrealestate” has elements of “Buffy” meets “Ghostbusters” meets “Angel.”
With Tim Rozon as Luke, the viewer can slightly recall David Duchovny in “The X-Files” meets Jason Bateman of “Ozark,” and that is meant as a compliment. Rozon and Sarah Levy command every scene they are in, and they leave the audience yearning for more.
Season 2 of “SurrealEstate” is scheduled for release later in the year. If it is anything as Season 1, then viewers and fans will be in for a real treat. Thus far, the first season of the series garnered two giant thumbs up.
