His latest album has been well-received by Digital Journal, and the ballad “Time” stands out as one of its prime cuts.
“And you were keeping me warm through those nights, Where I left my life to the cold outside, You left your light on
Oh you let me shine on,” Grand sings.
His music video starts out optimistic but it has a major twist to it, especially with an infidelity scene in the mix. Model Daniel Williams co-stars in this video as the narrator’s significant other. Its cinematography, filmed in snowy Chicago, is vivid and quite stunning, and the song’s piano-driven melody is reminiscent of Five for Fighting’s “100 Years.”
Grand’s vocals are rich, crisp and somewhat haunting. Particularly impressive about Grand is that he penned this tune himself solely, proving that he is one gifted songwriter.
