Review: Steve Aoki and Louis Tomlinson stun on new ‘Just Hold On’ video (Includes first-hand account)

A Grammy-nominated producer and DJ, Aoki collaborated with One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson on a track that is about a whirlwind romance. It was released on Ultra Music.

The song is about a young couple that attempts to make a late night romance last forever thanks to magical portals that transport them around the world, in an effort to escape the sunrise. The video includes stops on the Las Vegas strip and the streets of Kuwait. It is a fun and swift adventure that shows youth, love and life happen everywhere.

“Just Hold On” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Airplay charts, and it remains in the Top 40 on national radio airplay charts. It has gone viral on Spotify since its release.

In addition, Aoki lent his remixing skills to the theme song for the major motion picture Ghost In The Shell. The club-ready track is going to be included on the Scarlett Johansson-starring blockbuster’s soundtrack, which is set for release on March 31.

“Just Hold On” is available on iTunes.

The Verdict

Overall, Steve Aoki and Louis Tomlinson are refreshing on their new music video for their track “Just Hold On.” Their music video is youthful with a liberating vibe to it. “Just Hold On” garners an A rating. Well done.
