Review: Sister Sadie refreshing on bluegrass song ‘No Smoky Mountains’ (Includes first-hand account)

Bluegrass queen Dale Ann Bradley sings lead vocals on this song, where her vocals are crystalline and atmospheric. The rest of the band (Beth Lawrence on bass, Gena Britt on banjo, Deanie Richardson on fiddle and Tina Adair on mandolin) also delivers on instrumentals and their backing vocals.

The lyrics of “No Smoky Mountains” help paint a vivid picture in the minds of their fans and listeners. The song is a track on their sophomore studio album, Sister Sadie II, which was released on August 24 via Pinecastle Records.

Sister Sadie was nominated again this year for “Emerging Artist of the Year” at the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards.

“No Smoky Mountains” is available on iTunes and on Amazon.
