Review: ‘Side B’ EP released in memory of YouTube star Christina Grimmie (Includes first-hand account)

The four-track EP opens with on an emotional note with the crisp “Only Miss You When I Breathe,” and it is followed by the single “Invisible.” “The Game” is beautiful and haunting at the same time, especially when she hits the high notes.

The EP closes with an amazing version of Jason Mraz’s “I Won’t Give Up.” The control she maintained over the voice was impeccable, and she performed “I Won’t Give Up” as a soothing lullaby while simultaneously showcasing her dynamic vocal range, in a performance that will leave her listeners in goosebumps.

The Verdict

Overall, the new Christina Grimmie EP is exceptional from start to finish, and a must for any fan of the late songstress. All four songs are versatile and well-crafted, and they will help keep her memory alive. It garners five out of five stars.

Side B is available on iTunes.
