Singer-songwriter Shara Strand released her new studio album “Love Forever.”

This collection is about finding strength through vulnerability, and she does a solid job conveying her musical theme.

The record opens with the vivacious and joyous “I Will Be Here,” which is full of positivity, and it is followed by the sassy and nonchalant “My Green Light,” which has a retro ’00s vibe to it, and the atmospheric “Always Your Baby.”

She continues with the mid-tempo and catchy “I Will Follow” while “Anthem” is a powerhouse tune that really tugs at the heartstrings.

“Happy Ending” is the uplifting ode that everyone needs to hear, which is melodically reminiscent to Hoku’s “Perfect Day” and that ought to be taken as a compliment.

“Desperado” is a hauntingly beautiful tune, and the infectious “Second Chances” deserves to be featured on a rom-com motion picture soundtrack.

“Lioness” is a great deal of fun, and equally noteworthy is “Surrender.”

After the stirring and controlled piano-laden ballad “Soul Dad,” it closes with the soothing “My Sweetest Boy,” which is an earworm, and on a fitting note with the inspirational “Ascended,” where she leaves her listeners yearning for me.

The Green Room 42 show

On November 9, Strand will be performing a show at The Green Room 42 in New York City at 1 p.m. where she will be singing songs from “Love Forever.”

The concert also supports a meaningful cause with all proceeds benefiting the Kilimanjaro Initiative, an organization empowering underprivileged youth through leadership expeditions.

The Verdict

Overall, Shara Strand delivers on her refreshing and expressive new album “Love Forever.” It encompasses elements of pop, rock, adult contemporary, jazz, soft rock, and musical theatre.

Each song on here has its own identity, and she allows her crisp, crystalline voice and storytelling ability to shine throughout this eclectic and liberating musical effort.

If her upcoming show at The Green Room 42 in Manhattan will sound anything like this new album, then her fans and listeners will be in a real musical treat.

This is an album that has it all: heartbreak, joy, smiles, and laughter. There is a song for every mood. It garners an A rating. Well done.

“Love Forever” is available on Spotify and Apple Music.
