Review: Shanna Henderson back with new country single ‘Hell or Highwater’ (Includes first-hand account)

Henderson’s vocals are raw, and reminiscent of Hillary Scott from the Grammy-winning country trio Lady Antebellum meets Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry. She maintains a solid control over her voice. Her music video for her song may be seen on YouTube below.

Most impressive is the fact that Henderson collaborated on the creative direction of her song’s dark and edgy music video, and its dark theme was inspired by her own childhood.

Throughout her career in the music and entertainment industry, Henderson appeared on the Oxygen series “The Glee Project 2,” which is the reality companion to the television series “Glee.”

The Verdict

Overall, Shanna Henderson delivers on her latest single “Hell or Highwater.” Her vocals are spitfire and crisp, and she is able to tell her autobiographical story well in its authentic lyrics. It garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
