This concert was presented by the Long Island country radio station My Country 96.1 FM.
The young musician noted that this marked his first time playing on Long Island. He delivered impressive covers of Alan Jackson’s uptempo hit “Chattahoochee” and The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside.” He also sang a sultry version of Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself,” as well as songs from his new EP. He went on to introduce his band members to the crowd.
“Raise your hands if you didn’t know who I was before tonight?” he asked, and many audience members raised their hands. “It’s nice to meet you,” he said, prior to sharing that he comes from South Georgia.
Ennis closed his set with his breakthrough radio single “Woke up in Nashville,” as yellow and white lights graced the Paramount stage. He concluded the song with a killer drum solo.
“I woke up on Long Island today baby,” he exclaimed. “I love you all so much,” he added. “Who’s ready for Billy Currington?” Following his show, he was gracious enough to take photos with fans and sign autographs at the merch table.
When asked how it felt to perform at The Paramount, Ennis responded, “It was awesome. This venue has one of my favorite vibes.”
The Verdict
Overall, Seth Ennis’ set at The Paramount was high-energy and a great deal of fun. Aside from his rich vocals, he played keyboards, guitar and even the drums. His version of “Chattahoochee” was utterly fantastic. His set garnered an A rating.
