Review: Sean Kanan releases five new episodes of ‘Studio City’ Season 1 (Includes first-hand account)

The show was created by Kanan and Jason Antognoli, and it was directed by Emmy nominee Timothy Woodward Jr. All of these aforementioned filmmakers served as co-writers of the new episodes, along with Michele Kanan and Lauren De Normandie. Earlier this year, Studio City scored a total of eight Daytime Emmy nominations.

In Studio City, Kanan plays the roles of Sam Stevens and the fictional Dr. Pierce Hartley, since it’s a drama within a drama (Hearts on Fire). The talented cast of actors in these five episodes includes Sarah Joy Brown (Laurie), Emmy winner Tristan Rogers (Doc), Philip Bruenn (Nick Cassidy), Scott Turner Schofield, Erin Michele Soto, Michael James Lazar, and Carolyn Hennesy, among others.

Several guest stars in these new episodes include Emmy nominee Anna Maria Horsford (The Bold and The Beautiful), Anjelino Chabrieay, Justin Torkildsen, Natalie Burn, as well as Ronn Moss and Devin DeVasquez as themselves.

The five new episodes of Season 1 of Studio City are available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
