Review: Ryan Follese releases smooth new country song ‘Float Your Boat’ (Includes first-hand account)

Float Your Boat” is a track on Follese’s eponymous EP, which is comprised of six tracks, all of which were co-penned by Follese himself. The EP was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, where he worked with such acclaimed producers as Dann Huff and Cameron Montgomery.

The song is breezy with a laid-back vibe to it, which will make the listener kick back and lay loose. It is the ideal summer country tune.

He is best known as the front-man of the award-winning band Hot Chelle Rae, where Follese co-penned their triple-platinum-selling hit “Tonight, Tonight.” Music runs in his blood, especially since both of his parents are songwriters. His father, Keith, co-wrote Faith Hill’s “The Way You Love Me,” and his mom, Adrienne, co-penned Martina McBride’s “I Love You.”

The Verdict

Overall, Ryan Follese’s new song “Float Your Boat” garners four out of five stars. It is calming and relaxing, and a great introduction to his music. The country genre seems like a nice fit for him.

“Float Your Boat” is available on iTunes.
