Review: Ryan Cabrera back with new video — ‘House On Fire’ (Includes first-hand account)

It begins with Cabrera playing the main character who has had many misfortunes happen to him: he got fired from his job, which subsequently lead to his girlfriend breaking up with him, among other unfortunate events. Cabrera is sporting a new haircut, thus giving him a new look, and fortunately for him, things get better as the video progresses.

His song has a Phillip Phillips (“Home”) meets Andy Grammer vibe to it, and it encompasses elements of pop, rock, adult contemporary and even dance music. It has catchy backing vocals and strong melodies. “House On Fire” is a track from his forthcoming EP Wake Up Beautiful, which will be released on March 3.

The Verdict

Overall, Ryan Cabrera soars on his latest up-tempo single and its refreshing music video. It is great to have new music out from Cabrera. This is long-overdue. The modern radio airwaves need more of his music and “House on Fire” is the perfect fit. This video garners an A- rating.
