Review: Ryan Beaver back with haunting new country single ‘Rum & Roses’ (Includes first-hand account)

A Texas native, Beaver is one of those artists that can do no wrong no matter what he sings, whether it is the spitfire “Fast” or “Dark.”

This tune is about giving into temptation, and it is recommended for fans of traditional country music, and those that enjoy listening to such country musicians as Chris Stapleton and Travis Tritt.

On May 5, Beaver will be performing at Mercury Lounge in New York City. In the past, he has opened for country songstress Ashley Monroe, where they played Bowery Ballroom together in “The Big Apple.”

The Verdict

Overall, Ryan Beaver delivers on “Rum & Roses.” He manages to stay true to his country roots, and to who he is as a recording artist. “Rum & Roses” garners 4.5 out of 5 stars.
