“Romance at the Vineyard”‘ is a new romantic comedy film that premiered on Great American Family on August 5.
It stars Susie Abromeit and Tim Ross in the leading roles as Allee and Ethan respectively. Cameron Robbie also stars as Nick. The entire cast offers something unique to this project.
The synopsis of this original movie is: When it looks as though Allee’s family vineyard, Merado, is at stake, she is forced to pair with a new friend in an effort to avoid selling the property.
What she doesn’t know is that her newfound partner works for the corporate wine chain aiming to buy the property.
Colin Budds directed from a noteworthy screenplay that was written by Ansley Gordon.
Abromeit plays an entrepreneur who is chasing her dreams opposite Tim Ross as the suave salesman Ethan, who tries to convince the proprietors of a family vineyard to sell their property.
“What you guys have is really special,” Ethan tells Allee in the film, and she concurs with that statement (about the vineyard). “We like to make people feel at home,” her character responded.
Things get more complex when he gets pulled into helping Allee, the family’s granddaughter, to create a new blend to save the winery. The cinematography of the movie serves as a character in itself.
They have good chemistry together and they make this movie work. Despite having a somewhat predictable ending, “Romance at the Vineyard” is summer rom-com escapism. It garners a B+ rating.
