Review: Richard Lynch back with new country single ‘Cut And Paste’ (Includes first-hand account)

His vocals on “Cut and Paste” are reminiscent of early Alan Jackson music from the 90’s. It is a song that holds true about the modern society that we are living in, and how everything is done electronically (e-mail or iPhone messages). In a way, it is the male response to Miranda Lambert’s “Automatic,” and Lynch makes it work.

“Cut and Paste” is a track from his brand new studio album, Mending Fences, which comes out today, on April 1, via his independent record label, Fence Row Records. The song was penned by JR Nick Nichols.

His new CD was produced by Edgel Groves and Randall Griffith. It was recorded at Long Hollow Sound Studios/ Harrison Entertainment Group in Gallatin, Tennessee by Shea Henley and Michael Walter. Most impressive about the album is that it features a duet with Grammy-nominated bluegrass darling Rhonda Vincent.

The Verdict

Overall, Richard Lynch’s new single Cut and Paste” garners an A rating. It is worth more than just a passing glance, and it is recommended for fans and listeners that enjoy pure country music.
