Review: Raphael delights on ‘Boys Are Trouble’ single and music video (Includes first-hand account)

It is one of the 10 tracks featured on his forthcoming studio album, The Dark of My Mind, which will be released independently on May 17.

In “Boys Are Trouble,” Raphael sings about losing control of his emotions once an attractive guy comes along. He simply surrenders himself to mischief.

The music video for “Boys Are Trouble” has a shocking ending to it that one has to see to believe.

Raphael was born in New York and he was raised in Miami Beach, while listening to ’90s pop and hip-hop music. In his music, the musician aims to bring back the love. He feels that most songs today focus on independence and a nonchalant attitude towards romance.

The Verdict

Overall, Raphel’s “Boys Are Trouble” is a haunting, vulnerable and seductive tune at the same time. He emerges as the male version of Sade, and that ought to be taken as a major compliment. The song and video for “Boys Are Trouble” earns 4 out of 5 stars.
