Radiohead earns nomination for 2018 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

An acclaimed British rock band, Radiohead is comprised of Colin Greenwood on bass, Jonny Greenwood on guitar and keyboards, Ed O’Brien on guitar and backing vocals, Philip Selway on drums and percussion, and lead singer Thom Yorke on guitar, keyboards and piano. Yorke is also the main songwriter of the group.

Throughout their accomplished career in the music industry, Radiohead has won three Grammy awards for “Best Alternative Music Album” for such projects as In Rainbows, Kid A and OK Computer.

According to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website, Radiohead is credited for “pushing the boundaries of rock and roll.” In addition, Radiohead incorporated a diverse spectrum of inspirations in their music, which ranged from such iconic groups as Pink Floyd to R.E.M. The band members of Radiohead are also pioneers of the digital revolution.
