Review: Rachel Platten excellent on new single ‘Stand By You’ (Includes first-hand account)

Platten’s vocals on this love song are crisp and ethereal. It is quite optimistic and inspirational, where the listener can stomp their feet and clap along. She maintains great control over her voice, and is now afraid to showcase her vulnerability as an artist.

“Cause I’m gonna stand by you, Oh, tears make a lot of scopes in your eyes, And hurt, I know you’re hurting, but so am I And love, if your wings are broken, Borrow mine so yours can open too, cause I’m gonna stand by you,” Platten sings.

The Verdict

Overall, Rachel Platten is one of those singers that can do no wrong. Her latest song “Stand By You” is a gem and it garners an A rating.
